Which ping pong table should I buy?
It depends on where the table will stand. Rain and humidity decide between indoor and outdoor, and the length of the room decides between a full-size and a compact table.
- Dry room at home: CHOPPA Top 18 (₪1,850), full size, 18 mm top, each half folds separately.
- Club-level play: CHOPPA Professional 25 (₪2,700), 25 mm top for a higher, more consistent bounce.
- Room shorter than 4 m, or a covered balcony: CHOPPA Mid 182 (₪1,100), 182 × 91 cm, also good for solo practice.
- Garden, yard or open balcony: CHOPPA Outdoor SMC (₪1,550). SMC does not absorb water.
- Parks, schools and community centers: CHOPPA Park Fixed (₪2,400), anchored to the ground.
How much space does a ping pong table need?
A standard table is 274 cm long, 152.5 cm wide and 76 cm high, and comfortable play needs about 5.7 × 2.5 m: 1.5 m behind each end and 0.5 m on each side. In a room between 4 and 5.7 m long you can still play, closer to the table. Below 4 m, a compact 182 × 91 cm table fits better.
